Gluten and Dairy Free Saag Chicken

Serves 2-3



  1. Place the spinach and a splash of water in a shallow pan and cook for 5 minutes
  2. Place the spinach and 100ml of water in a blender and blitz until smooth
  3. Add the olive oil to the saucepan over a medium heat
  4. Stir in the onion, garlic, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, cumin seeds, nigella seeds, turmeric, ground cumin and chilli powder
  5. Saute for a couple of minutes
  6. Add in the chicken and cook for 5 minutes
  7. Pour in the blended spinach, cover and cook on low for 10 minutes
  8. Stir in the dairy free cream and season with salt and pepper
  9. Serve with pilau rice and poppadoms
