Hello everyone, welcome to my latest breakfast recipe for Gluten and Dairy Free Gingerbread French Toast. If you are looking for a new idea for a winter brunch or breakfast then try out this recipe. Only takes 10 minutes to make so is perfect for this busy time of year.

  1. In a shallow bowl whisk together the egg, dairy free milk, treacle, brown sugar, ginger and cinnamon

  2. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a  frying pan over a medium heat

  3. Dip the bread into the egg mixture and place immediately into the frying pan

  4. Cook on each side for a couple of minutes

  5. I served mine with maple syrup and some fresh raspberries
