Hello everyone, welcome to my latest recipe for Gluten and Dairy Free Maple Pecan Breakfast Pastries. Now you can readily buy gluten and dairy free puff pastry sheets in the supermarket it is really easy to make delicious breakfast pastries. The more I practice the better my plaiting is getting and it’s a good excuse to keep making them.
I also have a chocolate version of these Chocolate Hazelnut Pastries (Gluten & Dairy Free) if you prefer that filling to maple and pecan.

Maple Pecan Breakfast Pastries (Gluten Free, Dairy Free)
Ingredients
For the filling:

Preheat the oven to 180 oC

Cut the pastry into 4 rectangles

Stir together the ingredients for the filling, divide into four and spread down the centre of each pastry

Cut slanting strips about 2cm wide along both sides of the filling

Fold the two ends over to seal the pastry and pleat using the strips you have cut

Brush with the beaten egg, drizzle with maple syrup, add a sprinkle of chopped pecans and bake in the oven for 15 minutes
