Gluten and Dairy Free Chocolate, Cardamom & Strawberry Waffles

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 115ml dairy free milk
  • 20g dairy free spread, melted
  • 70g gluten free plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons caster sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • handful of fresh strawberries

Method

  1. Beat together the egg, dairy free spread and milk
  2. Whisk in the flour and caster sugar
  3. Stir in the cocoa powder and cardamom
  4. Pour batter into a pre heated waffle iron and cook for 5 minutes or until golden brown
  5. Alternatively you can use this mix to make pancakes
  6. Serve with the strawberries
