The weather outside is proper windy and cold and it’s supposed to be snow this weekend.  If you are looking for some new soup inspiration then try this recipe for gluten and dairy free tomato, avocado and chilli soup.  The avocado just makes the soup creamy without the need for the dairy.

Tomato, Avocado and Chilli Soup (Gluten & Dairy Free)

Difficulty: Beginner Prep Time 10 min Cook Time 15 min Total Time 25 mins Servings: 2 Best Season: Suitable throughout the year


A vegan and gluten free soup with fresh tomatoes, avocado and chilli



  1. Add the olive oil to a large saucepan over a medium heat

  2. Add in the onion, garlic and chilli and saute for 5 minutes

  3. Stir in the tomatoes and cover with a lid

  4. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally

  5. Stir in the vegetable stock

  6. Bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes

  7. Add in the avocado, seasoning, basil and lime juice

  8. Transfer to a blender and blitz until smooth
