Hello everyone, welcome to my latest recipe for Gluten and Dairy Free Ginger Spiced Hot Chocolate.
As its been a bit chilly the last few days I thought it was time for a new gluten and dairy free comforting hot drink. I’ve been down in Bristol and London for the last few days where there is definitely a nip in the air but back home in Scotland there has been a bit of snow.
I’ve used my basic hot chocolate syrup recipe and mixed in some warming ginger to make this special drink. I’m lucky enough my local health food shop also stocks dairy free whipped cream which is perfect for the top of this hot chocolate. I’ve also popped in a little gluten free gingerbread man for an extra treat.

Ginger Spiced Hot Chocolate (Gluten & Dairy Free)
Ingredients
Instructions

Pour the milk and water into a saucepan over a medium heat

Bring to a gentle simmer then turn down the heat

Whisk in the maple syrup, cinnamon , ginger and cocoa powder

Stir continuously until well combined

Pour into a mug and top with some dairy free whipping cream and an extra sprinkle of cinnamon and ginger
