Hello everyone, it was really cold here the other morning so I decided to make Gluten Free and Dairy Free Caramelised Apple Porridge for breakfast. I can’t wait for it to get warmer, the sun has come out a few times in Scotland but it is still pretty cold. In my opinion it is still porridge for breakfast weather! Today I’ve topped my porridge bowl with some caramelised apples.
At least the clocks have gone forward now. To me that means more opportunity to take photographs at dinner time with better natural light. I’ve got a few new recipes on the list to photograph including Easy Schezwan Prawns, Pasta Pepperonata and Cheese and Tomato Risotto.

Caramelised Apple Porridge (Gluten Free, Dairy Free)
Ingredients
Instructions

Place the apples, dairy free spread, cinnamon and brown sugar into a shallow pan over a medium heat

Cook for about 5 minutes or until the apples are soft

Mix the oats and milk or water in a small saucepan

Bring to the boil and simmer for 4-5 minutes

Divide the porridge between two bowls and top with the caramelised apples
