Hello everyone, welcome to my latest recipe for Gluten and Dairy Free Sweet Chilli, Tomato & Sweet Potato Soup.

I’m heading down to London to for the weekend to catch up with a few friends.  There is always so many amazing gluten and dairy free places to eat out – I always have to make sure I don’t eat too much!  A trip to London is not complete without a little Honest Burger – their gluten free onion rings are amazing.

I’m such a fussy soup snob – I live on the stuff during the winter but it has to be the right flavour and consistency.  I was so disappointed the time I bought a takeaway soup marked as tomato and pepper – I was expecting a red pepper but unfortunately it was black pepper and a tonne of it!  Today’s soup combines tomatoes, sweet potatoes and a lovely kick of sweet chilli.

Sweet Chilli, Tomato & Sweet Potato Soup (Gluten & Dairy Free)

Difficulty: Beginner Prep Time 10 mins Cook Time 30 mins Total Time 40 mins
Servings: 4
Best Season: Suitable throughout the year



  1. Add the olive oil to a large pan over a medium heat

  2. Stir in the onions, chilli flakes, garlic and ground ginger

  3. Saute for 5 minutes

  4. Add in the tomatoes (canned and fresh) and sweet potatoes

  5. Pour in the dairy free milk and vegetable stock

  6. Bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes

  7. Stir in the sweet chilli sauce and season to taste

  8. Blend and serve
