  1. Preheat the oven to 150 oC
  2. Grease and line a springform 9" cake tin
  3. Drizzle the golden syrup over the base of the cake tin
  4. Peel the skin off two of the oranges
  5. Finely slice the oranges removing any pips
  6. Arrange the orange slices over the golden syrup
  7. Zest and juice the remaining orange
  8. Beat together the caster sugar and dairy free spread until light and fluffy
  9. Beat in the three eggs individually
  10. Stir in the gluten free flour, polenta and baking powder
  11. Stir in the orange juice and zest
  12. Pour the cake batter over the orange slices
  13. Bake for 45 minutes
  14. Leave to cool in the tin for 10 minutes then invert onto a heat proof plate
  15. Preheat the grill to high
  16. Place the cake under the grill for a couple of minutes to crispin the top
  17. Dust the top of the cake with a little extra nutmeg
