Hello everyone, welcome to my latest recipe for Gluten and Dairy Free Ham, Cheese & Pesto Toasties.
Like every coeliac I’m always on the lookout for the perfect gluten free sandwich! My lunch recipe section is bursting with soup recipes so I’m going to try and add in a few good sandwich recipes. I’ve working on a fancy hot dog, a crab roll and a steak caesar sandwich.
These toasties are stuffed with dairy free cheese, homemade dairy free basil pesto and smoked German ham. I’ve then dipped them in beaten egg (French Toast style) and then cooked so the outside is crisp and the middle is fully of oozy cheese.

Ham, Cheese & Pesto Toasties (Gluten & Dairy Free)
Ingredients
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200 oC

Layer 2 slices of gluten free bread with the cheese, ham and pesto

Sandwich together with the reamining slices of bread

Beat together the egg, milk and seasoning
-
Dip the sandwiches in the egg mix
-
Fry for a couple of minutes on each side in a shallow pan over a medium heat

Transfer to a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 5 minutes

Serve with a side salad
