Hello everyone, welcome to my latest recipe for Gluten and Dairy Free Caramel Apple Crumble.

I’ve made a small change to make it easier to find a few of the regular features I run on my website.  My Recipe Round Ups (e.g. Top 10 Breakfast On The Go Ideas etc) and my 7 Day Gluten and Dairy Free Meal Plans now have their own pages and shortcuts on the top menu bar.

I’ll be doing a new recipe roundup with 20 pumpkin ideas perfect for this time of year.  Back to today’s recipe for this autumn favourite of caramel apple crumble.  Beautiful soft caramel apples topped with crisp crumble is the perfect dessert on a cold day – best served with either dairy free vanilla ice cream or dairy free custard.

For the topping:


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 oC

  2. Place the diced apple and caramel sauce in a shallow pan over a medium heat

  3. Cook for 5 minutes until the apples start to soften

  4. Divide the caramel apples between two individual casserole dishes

  5. Stir together the flour, oats, brown sugar and cinnamon

  6. Rub in the dairy free spread until it resembles bread crumbles

  7. Sprinkle over the top of the caramel apples

  8. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes

  9. Serves with a scoop of dairy free ice cream
