I haven’t shared as many recipes as I normally would have over the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately I’ve been suffering with COVID and one of my worst symptoms has been nausea and vomiting and I haven’t wanted to look at the website. I’ve not been eating much but luckily I have a few recipes hidden away that I can share with you until I’m ready to develop some new ideas.

Bacon & Mushroom Toast Topper (Gluten & Dairy Free)

Difficulty: Beginner Prep Time 10 mins Cook Time 20 mins Total Time 30 mins
Servings: 2
Best Season: Suitable throughout the year



  1. Preheat the oven to 180 oC and arrange the slices of bread onto a baking sheet

  2. Place the olive oil into a shallow pan over a medium heat.  Sauté the chilli flakes, onion, garlic, bacon and mushrooms until golden, about 10 minutes

  3. Place the mushroom mix into the bowl and stir in the dairy free cream cheese, oregano and season to taste

  4. Spoon onto the bread and bake in the oven for 12 minutes and enjoy warm
