Hello everyone, welcome to my latest recipe for Gluten and Dairy Free Toffee Apple Cider Cake.

feel like during the last 7 months of Covid enforced work at home I’ve eaten way more cake than usual – I’m not sure why.  Suppose it has been good for the website and I’ve added quite a few new baking recipes lately.  My latest being this toffee apple cider cake.

I first had toffee apple cider when I was down in Devon visiting a friend.  I have a real sweet tooth so love the caramel flavour of this cider.  I’ve used it in this cake along with lots of chopped apple to give it some extra flavour.  If you can’t easily find toffee apple cider then original apple will work just as well.

Toffee Apple Cider Cake (Gluten & Dairy Free)

Difficulty: Beginner
Servings: 10
Best Season: Fall



  1. Preheat the oven to 160 oC

  2. Grease a bundt cake pan or 8" round cake tin

  3. Place the flour in a large bowl and stir in the ground cinamon and brown sugar

  4. Rub in the dairy free spread until it resembles breadcrumbs

  5. Stir in the chopped apples, sultanas, beaten egg and toffee apple cider

  6. Pour into the cake tin and bake for 90 minutes

  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes

  8. Remove from the tin and allow to cool completely

  9. Dust with icing sugar prior to serving
