Hello everyone, welcome to my latest recipe for Gluten and Dairy Free Clafoutis.

French cuisine is definitely something to be celebrated. I travelled to Paris a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of gluten and dairy free food I was able to enjoy.

I’ve had a gone at making Clafoutis today – a traditional sponge dessert packed full of beautiful cherries.

  1. Grease a 1.2l casserole dish
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 oC
  3. Beat together the sugar, eggs, milk, flour, xanthan gum, lemon zest, vanilla extract and cinnamon
  4. Pour into the casserole dish
  5. Scatter the cherries over the batter
  6. Bake for 50 minutes
  7. Leave to stand for 5 minutes then slice and serve dusted with a little icing sugar
