Gluten and Dairy Free Valentine’s Day Recipes

‘Cooking is like love.  It should be entered into with abandon or not at all.’ – Julia Child

Hello

Love it or loathe – it is Valentine’s Day next week.  Do you have something special planned, are you trying to avoid it altogether or do you just not care?  Either way I’ve pulled together a couple of my favourite gluten and dairy free recipes.

Gluten and Dairy Free Red Velvet Pancakes

Start Valentine’s Day with these pretty red velvet pancakes.  I’ve packed all the best bits of a red velvet cake into this breakfast dish.  The topping is dairy free cream cheese drizzle poured over fluffy red pancakes.

Gluten and Dairy Free Valentine Chocolate Cakes

You should always have a bit of chocolate on Valentine’s Day – even those of us that are dairy free!  These little triple layered chocolate cakes are really easy to make.  I’ve sandwiched them together with a homemade dairy free buttercream and decorated them with pretty Valentine themed bits and pieces.

Gluten and Dairy Free Valentine Cupcakes

These cupcakes would make a great little handmade gift for your gluten and dairy free loved one.  I’ve recently starting making a few more handmade gifts for birthdays and Christmas and people really appreciate the effort you have gone to.

Hopefully these recipes have given you some inspiration to get into the kitchen and whip up a Valentine’s Day treat for your loved one or maybe as a treat for yourself.

Enjoy!

Gluten and Dairy Free Valentine Cupcakes

Hello

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.

A few years ago I made some Valentine cupcakes and photographed them to be included in a blog post for Udi’s gluten free UK.  As most of you remember Udi’s sadly withdrew from the gluten free market.  I thought I would dig out the recipe and photographs and share them on my blog for Valentine’s Day.

Enjoy!
