Chilli Prawn Pasta (Gluten Free, Dairy Free)

Hello everyone, I had this big bowl of Chilli Prawn Pasta for dinner the other night.  It had just the right level of heat but as always adjust the spices to suit your own palette.  This recipe would also work really well with gluten free spaghetti as well.

To keep organised with the website I make sure I plan it for a couple of months ahead so you all get a good mixture of recipe types like breakfast, baking, mains etc.  Below is this month's plan:

Description

Try this simple Gluten Free and Dairy Free Chilli Prawn Pasta for dinner - perfect for a delicious week night meal

Ingredients
  • 200 grams gluten free pasta
  • 250 grams prawns (peeled and prepped)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 pepper (diced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 400 grams can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 small red chilli (sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 125 milliliters dairy free cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Cook the pasta per the instructions on the packet and set aside
  2. Add the olive oil to a shallow pan over a medium heat
  3. Saute the onion, pepper, garlic, chilli, oregano and smoked paprika for a couple of minutes
  4. Add in the prawns and cook for a couple of minutes
  5. Stir in the chopped tomatoes, dairy free cream and seasoning
  6. Simmer for a couple of minutes
  7. Stir through the cooked pasta and serve
