Hello everyone, welcome to my latest recipe for Gluten Free and Dairy Free Glazed Sausages with Apple Slaw.

I made this recipe ages ago and forgot to upload it to the website.  This is a really simple but tasty dinner idea.  Lovely sticky glazed sausages on top of a fresh apple slaw.

I moaned a bit in my last post about having a torn cornea in my eye.  I've had a fun weekend of treatment for that and I'm now sitting typing this out looking like a pirate with an eye patch.

Ingredients
    For the sausages:
  • 8 gluten free sausages
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp mustard
    • For the apple slaw:
  • 1/2 small red cabbage (shredded)
  • 1 small red onion (finely sliced)
  • 1 carrot (grated)
  • 1 Granny Smith apple (grated)
  • salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 100 g dairy free mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp chives
    • To serve:
  • 4 portions gluten free oven chips (cooked per instructions on packet)
Instructions

    Whisk together the honey and mustard
  2. 2
    Brush the sausages with the honey glaze
  3. 3
    Cook the sausages in a shallow pan over a medium heat for about 12-15 minutes

    To make the slaw, mix together the mayonnaise and vinegar, season with salt and pepper

    Stir in the cabbage, onion, apple, carrot and chives
  6. 6

    Serve with the glazed sausages and chips
