Before I was dairy free my preferred hot drink of choice was a caramel macchiato. I have a proper sweet tooth so I enjoyed the vanilla coffee, frothy milk and caramel sauce.
I’ve started making them at home for a treat as I often make a big jar of dairy free caramel sauce and use it for all sorts of recipes.
I’m getting through my hospital appointment heavy week! Yesterday’s ultrasound of the major vein and arteries from my heart to my left leg is completed and the results have gone to be discussed at the department meeting. As my case is so rare I’m always presented at discussion groups. At least I got to finish the day well catching up with a friend for dinner at Ask Italian.
Today I’m back at the eye hospital to check how my torn cornea is healing and tomorrow I have my first haematology appointment with a specialist consultant my vascular surgeon has picked for me to see.
This month I’ve decided to share a bit more of what it is like to live with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome as May is EDS awareness month. It’s not all doom and gloom though, I still make it into a job I love everyday and I also have this website as my little hobby. Life for me just continues as normal, my EDS has just become part of it.
Anyway, I hope you like the dairy free caramel macchiato recipe.
