Description

Try this slow cooker recipe for Gluten Free and Dairy Free Five Spice Slow Roast Pork. Prep it in 10 minutes and leave to cook during the day.

Ingredients
  • 500 grams pork (diced)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 150 milliliters boiling water
  • 4 spring onions (sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese 5 Spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons tamari
  • To serve:
  • 4 large handfuls od stir fry vegetable mix
  • 200 grams basmati rice (cooked according to instructions on packet)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. Place all the ingredients for the pork into a slow cooker on a high setting and cook for 4 hours (alternatively you can do on a low setting for 8 hours)

  2. Remove the pork and pour the sauce into a saucepan

  3. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes to thicken the sauce

  4. Pour over the pork and serve with stir fried vegetables, rice and a sprinkle of sesame seeds
