Hello everyone, my latest recipe is for this Gluten and Dairy Free Green Tea, Banana and Berry Smoothie.

While it hasn't been scientifically proven there has been a lot of chat about the health benefits of green tea. Claims have been made that it can boost weight loss, reduce cholesterol, combat cardiovascular disease and prevent cancer. Just incase any of these claims are true, here is a gluten and dairy free smoothie recipe using green tea as it is base.

Ingredients
  • 2 green teabags
  • 200 ml boiled water
  • 3 tbsp mixed berries
  • 2 tsp agave nectar or honey
  • 1 ripe banana
Instructions
  1. Leave the teabags to infuse into the boiling water for 3 minutes
  2. Remove the teabags and allow to cool, I do this by using a bit less water and then adding some ice-cubes
  3. Place the berries, agave, banana and green tea in a blender and blitz until smooth
