Wholemeal Rolls (Gluten & Dairy Free)

Wholemeal Rolls

Hello everyone, welcome to my latest recipe for Gluten and Dairy Free Wholemeal Rolls.

Trying to find the perfect gluten free bread is often a challenge for coeliacs. I hope you all find this recipe useful, it only has five ingredients (one of which is water so doesn’t really count!) and is really easy to make. If you don’t have gluten free wholemeal bread flour just use gluten free white bread flour. You can make a big batch of these rolls and put them in the freezer for future use.

Ingredients
  • 500 grams gluten free bread flour
  • 40 grams dairy free spread
  • 14 grams dried active yeast
  • 300 milligrams warm water
Instructions
  1. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix until it forms a dough.  You can either knead the dough by hand (or use an electric mixer) for 5 minutes.  Place the dough back in the mixing bowl and cover with clingfilm.

  2. Leave to rise until doubled in size, about 45-60 minutes.  Knead the dough again for 1 minute.  Divide the dough into 8 balls and place in a 25cm circular baking pan with one roll in the middle and the other seven in a circle around it

  3. Leave to rise again until the dough has doubled, about 40 minutes.  Preheat the oven to 220 oC and bake for 25-30 minutes.  Remove from the pan and allow to cool before serving.
