There is nothing better than freshly cooked donuts, especially those filled with jam. I wanted to make donuts for lunch today but I didn’t have the time to wait on the yeast activating to make my usual recipe. I know there is a few of you that can’t eat yeast so this recipe will hopefully suit you.

You can refrigerate or freezer the uncooked donuts until you are ready to use them, that way you will always be able to enjoy them fresh.

Gluten and Dairy Free Baked Chocolate Donuts

I love donuts and they are relatively simple to make. You can prepare the dough in advance and keep it in the fridge so you can cook the donuts to order. I usually fry my donuts but I thought I would have a go at making a healthier baked version. They are ever so slightly drier than the fried version but definitely worth trying.

Gluten and Dairy Free Chocolate Donuts with Cinnamon Sugar

I have a real sweet tooth as you have probably worked out from the amount of cakes I have on the website. I love a donut and decided to have a go at making a gluten and dairy free chocolate donut. You can top them with whatever you like, I went with cinnamon sugar. I had this for a weekend breakfast treat along with my almond milk cappuccino.

I’m working on a baked donut recipe if you are not a fan of frying.
