Gluten and Dairy Free Strawberry and Chocolate Crepes

Morning everyone, hope you are having a relaxing Sunday. I had some leftover dairy free chocolate sauce from another recipe and a punnet of strawberries in the fridge so I decided to make some crepes for breakfast.




For the crepes:

  • 100g gluten free plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 300ml dairy free milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon caster sugar

For the chocolate sauce

  • 15g cocoa powder
  • 35g brown sugar
  • 80ml dairy free milk
  • 85g dairy free dark chocolate


  1. Start making the chocolate sauce by placing the chocolate, cocoa powder, brown sugar and milk in a saucepan
  2. Place over a medium heat and stirring until the ingredients are melted and well combined
  3. Bring to the boil and then simmer for 5 minutes, set aside to cool slightly
  4. Mix the flour and sugar together
  5. Add the egg and beat well
  6. Gradually add the milk stirring until a smooth batter is formed
  7. Heat a little olive oil in a shallow pan over a medium heat
  8. Pour in a small amount of the batter, just enough to cover the base of the pan
  9. Cook for about 2 minutes on each side
  10. Remove the crepe from the pan and spread on some of the dairy free chocolate sauce
  11. Fold into quarters and top with strawberries and a little more chocolate sauce
  12. Serve immediately
