Gluten and Dairy Free Spiced Banana Gingerbread

If you can’t decide between banana bread and gingerbread then this is the perfect cake for you!


For the cake:

For the frosting:


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 oC and line an 8″ baking tin
  2. Beat together the eggs and oil
  3. Stir in the honey and orange juice
  4. Add the sugar, flour, xanthan gum, ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon
  5. Mix well to combine
  6. Stir in the mashed bananas and sultanas
  7. Pour into the cake tin and bake in the centre of the oven for 45 minutes
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely
  9. Make the frosting by beating together the icing sugar and dairy free spread
  10. Spread on the cake and decorate
