Gluten & Dairy Free Ham, Cheese & Pesto Toasties

Ingredients

  • 4 slices gluten free bread
  • 4 slices dairy free cheese
  • 4 slices cooked ham
  • 2 tsps dairy free basil pesto *
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp dairy free milk
  • salt and pepper for seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200 oC
  • Layer 2 slices of gluten free bread with the cheese, ham and pesto
  • Sandwich together with the reamining slices of bread
  • Beat together the egg, milk and seasoning
  • Dip the sandwiches in the egg mix
  • Fry for a couple of minutes on each side in a shallow pan over a medium heat
  • Transfer to a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 5 minutes
  • Serve with a side salad
