Gluten and Dairy Free Grilled Hake with Mango Salsa

This is a beautiful fresh tasting dish and is perfect for a lovely sunny day. All the ingredients used in this dish are naturally gluten and dairy free which is great as you don’t need to source any special items to make this recipe.




For the fish:

  • 4 hake portions
  • salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

For the mango salsa:

  • 400g tomatoes, diced
  • 1 large ripe mango, peeled and diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 teaspoons coriander leaf
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 small chilli, deseeded and finely sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste

  1. Make the coating for the fish by mixing together the olive oil, garlic, paprika, lemon juice and seasoning
  2. Coat the fish in the marinade
  3. Grill the fish in the frying pan in a little olive oil over a medium heat for 3 minutes on each side
  4. To make the mango salsa combine all the ingredients in a medium sized bowl
  5. Serve the hake with the mango salsa
