Gluten and Dairy Free Chocolate Oat and Rice Snack Bars

These bars are a little bit like a fancy rice crispy cake. I wondered if they were too simple for the website but I took them into work and 16 of them went in 5 minutes – no joke! This proves that sometimes the easiest things to make can be the tastiest.




  • 110g gluten free oats
  • 100g gluten free puff rice
  • 170g honey
  • 125g peanut butter or a nut free alternative
  • 60g dairy free chocolate
  • 80g sultanas


  1. Place the honey, peanut butter and dairy free chocolate in a small pan
  2. Cook over a medium heat until melted and well combined
  3. In a large bowl mix together the puffed rice and oats
  4. Pour the chocolate mix over the rice and oats
  5. Stir in the sultanas
  6. Mix until well coated
  7. Press into a 8″ by 8″ pan
  8. Leave for an hour until set and then cut into 8 squares
