Gluten and Dairy Free Chocolate Mousse Cake

A very luxurious pudding, rich and chocolaty.

This cake is flourless so is ‘naturally’ gluten free. The chocolate, cream and spread are all dairy free alternatives but no one would ever know.



  • 450g dairy free chocolate
  • 400g dairy free spread
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 250ml dairy free cream
  • 8 eggs


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 oC
  2. In a large saucepan melt together the chocolate, spread, caster sugar and cream
  3. Stir until all the ingredients are melted and form a smooth sauce, about 5 minutes
  4. In a large bowl beat the eggs
  5. Pour in the chocolate mixture and stir until well combined
  6. Pour the mixture into a well greased 9″ cake tin
  7. Bake in the centre of the oven for 50 minutes
  8. Allow to cool in the cake tin
  9. Remove from the cake tin and refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving
