Gluten and dairy Free Cherry Choc Chip Oreo Style Cheesecake

The inspiration for this recipe came from the Allergy & Free From Show last week. I was discussing favourite free from recipes and my love of cheesecake with the guys at the Udi’s stand. They gave me a packet of their new gluten and dairy free oreo style cookies to so I could experiment with them as a cheesecake base – and this recipe is the result! The cherry choc chip oreo style cheesecake – all gluten and dairy free.





For the base:

  • 35g dairy fee spread, melted
  • 14 gluten and dairy free Oreo style biscuits, I used Udi’s

For the cheesecake:

  • 450g dairy free cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 50g caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
  • 75g dairy free chocolate chips

For the topping:

  • 6 tablespoons cherries

  1. Preheat the oven to 150 oC
  2. Line an 2lb loaf tin with tinfoil
  3. Place the biscuits in a food processor and blend
  4. Mix together the crushed biscuits and melted dairy free spread
  5. Press into the base of the loaf tin
  6. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes
  7. Stir together the cream cheese, egg, caster sugar and vanilla until smooth
  8. Stir in the chocolate chips
  9. Pour over the biscuit mix
  10. Bake in the oven for 35 minutes
  11. Allow to cool to room temperature
  12. Chill in the fridge for 4 hours
  13. Cut into 6 bars
  14. Top with the cherries
