Gluten and Dairy Free Banana Chocolate Muffins

I probably eat far too much cake, it is totally my weaknesses so I’m always after a healthier cake – if there is such a thing. These muffins aren’t exactly a health food but I’ve replaced the butter with coconut oil, caster sugar with honey and have added mashed banana to keep them moist.





  1. Preheat the oven to 180 oC
  2. Place the banana, honey, egg and oil in a blander and blitz until smooth
  3. In a large bowl stir together the flour, cocoa powder and chocolate chips
  4. Stir in the banana mix
  5. Divide between 8 muffin moulds
  6. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes
