Gluten and Dairy Free Apple Pie Smoothie

I carry around a little notebook to write my food ideas or inspiration when I’m out and about as I would immediately forget about them. A few months ago I was in a little vegan cafe and I had an apple pie smoothie. It tasted amazing so I wrote down apple pie smoothie in my little book hoping one day I would get round to developing a recipe. Well here it is a creamy apple smoothie with the warm spices of a traditional apple pie.




  • 250ml dairy free milk, I used almond milk
  • 3 dates, pitted
  • 2 apples, peeled and cored
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon honey, optional


  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth
  2. Serve and enjoy
