Gluten and Dairy Free Spiced Chocolate and Banana Cake

For the cake:

For the frosting:


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 oC
  2. Grease a 9″ round cake tin
  3. Beat together the dairy free spread and caster sugar until light and fluffy
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time
  5. Stir in the melted chocolate, cinnamon, cocoa powder and mashed banana
  6. Stir in the flour and mix until well combined
  7. Pour into the cake tin and bake for an hour
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely
  9. Make the frosting by beating together the icing sugar and dairy free spread until light and fluffy
  10. Spread on top of the cake
  11. I decorated with a dusting of cinnamon, banana chips and some chocolate
