Gluten and Dairy Free German Pancakes

For the pancakes:

  • 15 g dairy free spread melted
  • 65 g dairy free plain flour
  • 125 ml dairy free milk
  • 3 eggs beaten

For the apple topping:

  • 2 small apples cored and cut into wedges
  • 15 g dairy free spread
  • 2 tsps brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon


  • Preheat the oven to 180 oC
  • Pour the melted dairy free spread into a 6" casserole dish
  • Beat together the flour, milk and eggs
  • Pour into the dish and bake for 30 minutes
  • Place the apples, dairy free spread, cinnamon and brown sugar into a shallow pan over a medium heat
  • Cook for about 5 minutes or until the apples are soft
  • Pour on top of the baked pancake and dust with icing sugar
