Gluten and Dairy Free Cranberry Waffles with Maple Syrup and Cinnamon (Vegan) Butter

Leftover cranberries from Christmas Day? – try making these waffles as a treat for breakfast.




For the Waffles:

  • 140g gluten and dairy free plain flour
  • 70g potato flour or cornflour
  • 2 teaspoons gluten free baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 225ml natural soya yoghurt
  • 42g dairy free spread, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 150ml dairy free milk
  • 100g cranberries

Waffle Toppings:

  • 1 tablespoon dairy free butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • maple syrup for drizzling


  1. To make the waffles, combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix until light and fluffy
  2. Heat up your waffle iron and spray with olive oil
  3. Pour the mixture into the waffle iron and cook for 8 minutes until golden brown
  4. Mix the cinnamon into the dairy free butter
  5. Place the cinnamon butter onto the hot waffles and top with a drizzle of maple syrup
