I made these little cakes to take into work for my team. I’m a chartered accountant and work in a large company managing a team called Decision Support Consultancy. I like baking for the team but it can sometimes be a challenge to get home in time to bake, cool and decorate a cake and still have nice natural light to take a photograph for the website.
I juggle work and the website by just taking photos of the food I make as part of my everyday life. I don’t go out of my way to make things just for the site – if that makes sense.
These little cakes are rally easy to make and look quite pretty (I think). Pistachios have a really lovely smell when you chop them up – nutty with a hint of gentle spice. A quick google showed me that there is actually a man’s fragrance based on pistachio ice cream – I love the internet.
