Gluten, Dairy and Egg Free ‘Buttermilk’ Sultana Buns


Buttermilk is in inverted commas in this recipe title as it contains neither butter or dairy based milk.  You can easily make a dairy free version by adding some lemon juice to your dairy free milk, giving it a good stir and leaving for 10 minutes to thicken.

These buns taste like a cross between a rock bun and a scone, they are perfect as is or cut in half and spread with jam.
