This year I want to try and make my own bread more often. I love making bread but it always seems to fall down my to do list so this year it is going to the top.
I made this sour dough bread over Christmas and I was really pleased with the results after trying out a new bread flour. I also have a brown loaf with poppy seeds in the oven right at this moment – so if it works out well look for that recipe coming soon.
Sour dough is a great bread for people with allergies as this recipe is free from gluten, dairy, eggs and yeast. It is a bit of a pest that you have to make the sour dough starter so far in advance but if you plan it well you can always have some lurking around the kitchen.
