A Few of My Favourite Free From Things

This week’s Favourite Free From Things is a day late this week and only has the one item as I’m updating this at the airport on the way back from a few days visiting a friend in London. The aforementioned friend was kind enough to pick up these gluten and dairy free millionaire bites for me to enjoy and I thought I would share them with you if you want to try (he picked them up from Selfridges food hall).

Enjoy!

Gluten and Dairy Free Spiced Pear Sponge

Image Text

This cake can be served either hot or cold, I usually have it warm with custard for dessert and then serve any leftovers cold. The sweetness of the pears are perfectly complimented by the warming spices in the sponge cake. If you enjoyed this type of recipe I have a similar version on the website that is a chocolate sponge with a raspberry topping.

Enjoy!

Gluten and Dairy Free Banana and Cinnamon Quinoa Pudding

Image Text

I’ve only recently started to eat quinoa as I’m always after new gluten free grains to try. Up until now I’ve used it as a savoury item instead of cous cous or rice. This morning I decided to try and make a breakfast style oatmeal dish from quinoa and I’ve paired it up with banana and cinnamon for a tasty filling breakfast.

Enjoy!

Gluten and Dairy Free Chocolate & Vanilla Cupcakes

Image Text

One of my friends recently sent me a little thank you box full of gluten and dairy free treats. It had a big bag of giant dairy free chocolate buttons which I thought would look cool on a cupcake. These cupcakes are a chocolate sponge frosted with vanilla buttercream and topped with a giant chocolate button – and the best bit is they are gluten and dairy free.

Enjoy!

Gluten and Dairy Free Rainbow Chicken Satay Salad

Image Text

I’ve called this the rainbow salad due to the variety of colours, the picture doesn’t do it justice as I took it at night time when the light wasn’t natural. This also makes a great pack lunch as you can make up the chicken and vegetables and take the satay dressing in a little tub to drizzle over.

Enjoy!
