My sister doesn’t really have a sweet tooth but this was always her favourite dessert. I stopped making it for a while after I had to stop with the dairy and gluten because I just couldn’t figure out how to make it. This version tastes exactly the same as the gluten and dairy loaded version.

I usually like to put on recipes with ingredients you can easily buy, this recipe has the slightly harder to find dried soya milk, I purchased this from my local health food store but you can also buy it online.

As it can be difficult to get dairy free creamy to whip up nice and thick I decided to top this pie with french meringue, it is soft and marshmallowy (not sure that is a word!) rather than chewy like other meringues.

This soup is healthy, nutritious, easy to make and a good use for courgettes which I seem to have a lot of but I’m never sure what to do with! The accompanying bread is also a healthy snack made with gluten free wholemeal flour. Both the soup and bread can be frozen and used at a later date.

Gluten and Dairy Free Triple Chocolate Muffins

GF DF Chocolate Muffins

The first thing that flashed through my mind when the doctor told me my body could no longer process milk was one word – CHOCOLATE!

However, this hasn’t been the nightmare I thought it would be and have actually managed to find a number of good quality dairy free chocolate bars. This recipe is the ultimate chocolate feast with cocoa powder, dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate – all dairy and gluten free of course.

Enjoy these muffins as a little chocolatey indulgence from me to you!

I think crepes are fantastic, they have very little ingredients in the base recipe, are extremely versatile as you can experiment with endless fillings and eat them anytime of the day, and most importantly they always look like you made a real effort!

For this recipe I’ve offset the sweetness of the chocolate with the zestyness of the lime but use this recipe as a basic and go wild with endless gluten and dairy free fillings
